The L.A. Times - 4 song 7"

Welcome to Smashitup! We have a few releases coming up this summer for your listening pleasure. Our first release is by The L.A. Times. Originally recorded in the mid-late 90's and set to be released on the garage punk label Scooch Pooch Records (Detroit Cobras, Electric Frankenstein, Bellrays, etc..) the band fell apart before it could happen. Gaining rave reviews at the time and playing shows all over Los Angeles and San Francisco with bands like the New Bomb Turks, the Rip Offs, Red Aunts, Necessary Evils, the Motards, Lazy Cowgirls, and the Bomboras. Forming in 1996 and ending in 1999, the L.A. Times featured Janet Housden on drums (ex Redd Kross)....aka 'Patch Kelly' of Lovedolls fame (Dave Markey's underground cult classic films Desperate Teenage Lovedolls and Lovedolls Superstar). 4 songs of 60's style Garage Trash meets 70's New York Punk. If the Voidoids had been on Crypt Records, this is what it might have sounded like.
Limited to 250 pressed.
Available on purple marble swirl vinyl or olive green marble swirl vinyl!
